Hi, my name is WebChicklet … and I’m a backup freak. Over the years, I’ve trashed more hard drives than I can count, and most of those involved lots of geeky tears because I didn’t have a backup. Eventually, after enough crashes, I finally learned my lesson, and I became a backup... 

Over the years, I’ve managed to rack up over 1,300 login usernames/passwords to that many web sites. Ugh. That’s just ain’t pretty, ya know? I’ve tried various solutions to managing them all, including Keepass, Roboform, built-in browser managers, etc. None were awful, but none... 

In KDE’s Kicker (panel), you have the option of adding a System Menu Applet, which looks like this (although yours may be slightly different). If you don’t yet have it on your kicker, but you want to add it, simply right-click the kicker, and choose Add Applet to Panel and then scroll down... 

Just in case you’ve never used a USB flash drive (sometimes called thumb drives or jump drives), I’m here to encourage you to do so. You can pick one up with just a small amount of space for nearly free, and that might be a good way to start, but these days, flash drives come in sizes up...
