Googles Newest Keyword Research Tool Is Great

Last week this Webchicklet stumbled upon Google’s newly released Keyword Tool beta version.  I’m sure most web publishers and marketers would agree, keyword research is one of the most important aspects of publishing content.   If you want traffic to your blog you gotta know what people are searching for.   And with this new and much improved tool, you’ll have no trouble finding things to write about that will drive readers to your blog.

Google’s keyword tool has always been an important and useful tool in my toolbox.  And their latest version is absolutely fantastic!  As usual, you can find keyword ideas by entering a word or phrase, or by entering a website url.  This will give you a large list of keyword ideas, as it always has.  But my favorite new feature:  you can now browse by categories, for example financial, beauty, consumer electronics, etc.  I could (and quite often do) spend many hours browsing through each category finding interesting keywords that have a high search volume.  Here’s what the new Google Keyword Tool looks like:

The new keyword research tool also gives more advanced options to break down the available data such as country specific data, mobile data, setting your own CPC prices, adding your own keyword filters, and filtering by match type such as exact or phrase.  I’ve barely scratched the surface of this excellent tool and will continue to dig right in to it, and I recommend you do the same!   And best of all, unlike the MANY expensive keyword research tools out there, Googles tool is still FREE!

If you are the first to "discover" any of my posts in StumbleUpon, one of the following categories would probably be the most appropriate to place it into. You don't have to choose one of these, of course, but based on what I usually write about, there's a good chance any of my posts will fall into one of these categories.

Computers * Computer Graphics * Computer Hardware * Computer Security * Databases * Internet * Internet Tools * Linux/Unix * Web development * Weblogs(Blogs) * Windows
